Update: Midterms

I'm back!! Sorry I haven't found the time to blog in the past couple of weeks, but October has just been crazy busy for me! But I'm here now to fill you in on what's been happening in my life this month.

Last week was midterms week here at Korea University so I have been studying almost nonstop. In my opinion, school is definitely more difficult here than compared to UH Manoa. (However, this shouldn't come as a surprise since Korea University is one of the top 3 universities in Korea.) A major difference that I noticed in my classes is the exams. I'm not sure if this applies to all classes in general, but professors here don't like to give multiple choice questions on exams. All three of my midterms were written/short answer style with only 3-4 long problems to work through. This makes it very difficult to get a good score because if you miss even one question it lowers your score significantly.

Another difference that I noticed is that professors don't review for the exam the class before. Nor do they tell the class the format of the exam, number of questions, what to focus more attention on, etc. It really made studying and preparing for the exam tremendously more difficult for me. I guess I was so used to professors doing this in UH Manoa that I took it for granted and even expected the same treatment here.

Must work even harder for finals week!! 화이팅!~ (Fighting!~)

P.S. Stick around to see some of the fun things I did this month. :)
